What happens during your CBT sessions?
CBT helps you to identify and change your negative patterns of thinking and behaviour which, in turn, helps you to improve your mental wellness, feel less anxious and more in control of your life.
During your sessions, your therapist will work with you to help identify any negative beliefs or thoughts. Once these are identified your therapist will help you to replace those unhelpful beliefs and thoughts with more positive and helpful ones.
Some CBT sessions can include behavioural therapy. This type of CBT is helpful especially effective in helping clients overcome any fears or phobias. Overall, the goal of your sessions is to help you develop more effective ways of coping with your thoughts and feelings and improve your physical and mental well-being.
We understand that you may not be certain that CBT is right for you or you may have questions about this type of therapy. Our CBT specialists are very happy to offer every client who is considering whether CBT would be helpful to them, a free initial consultation. You can come in and meet one of our team and we can explain all the different ways in which CBT can help you and you can ask any questions you may have.

How does CBT - Cognitive behavioural therapy work?
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy that can help people manage their mental health problems. It is based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are all connected and that by changing one of these things, we can change the others.
CBT is a short-term therapy, typically lasting between 6 and 12 weeks. During each session, you will work with a therapist to identify your problems, understand how they are affecting you, and develop strategies to manage them.
CBT can be used to treat a wide range of mental health problems, including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. It is also effective in treating physical health problems, such as chronic pain and irritable bowel syndrome.
CBT is a safe and effective treatment, and it is available on the NHS. To access CBT, you will need to speak to your GP. They may refer you to a therapist who specialises in CBT, or they may offer you self-help resources.
If you are considering CBT, it is important to remember that it is not a magic cure. It takes time and effort to make changes, but CBT can help you to manage your problems and improve your quality of life.
I would like to thank Stacey for making the experience very relaxing, stress-free and most importantly effective. Strongly recommend this method.
